As I let my gray hair grow in, I would rather experiment with existing clothes than assume I need a new wardrobe. The ends still carry the previous brown shade, which means the color around my face is not going to stay exactly the same. There are light neutrals, darker neutrals, and a couple of pink scarves in my closet that I could use as comparison pieces. I found this link during a search for background information about personal color analysis as a starting point for further reading. I do not want a label to decide what I am allowed to wear, but some vocabulary might help me notice patterns. Would you repeat the same comparison every few months, or wait until most of the old color has been cut away? I am considering simple notes on what feels comfortable to wear, using a consistent set of scarves for each comparison. I would welcome ideas for modest changes during this process, particularly from people who kept most of their existing clothes.
